Curious ... Interesting ... Creative

Career & Community

I’ve been fortunate in being able to connect with unique and interesting projects to engage my skillsets fully. My love for racquetball manifested itself throughout a long career with the sport’s national governing body.  My commitment to the success of women in business has always been gratifying and I place high value in arts and letters education and lifelong learning.

My New Year’s resolution in 2013 was to become more pro-active and involved in the community. I felt it was time to stop waiting for change, and to begin creating it in meaningful ways. I stepped right into it by launching a well-intentioned, but ultimately, unsuccessful bid for Colorado Springs City Council.

I later re-grouped by pairing that desire to help with a firm commitment to the quality of life offered by a strong public school system. Building and sustaining a sense of “pulling together” – everyday – became one of my primary goals in seeking election to the District 11 School Board. That campaign was better organized, and many great volunteers honored me with their support in making a successful bid for the office. I learned plenty, and fast.
